It was written for Convergence. We wanted it so we could use
the DVB-S cards as a development platform for our CI protocol
stack. We did not release it because the documentation necessary
to write such an CI protocol stack was not open, so we figured
that it would not be of use for anyone. But it seems that this
has now changed...
