[linux-dvb] Re: Problems in running applications

Hi,

I have a Fujitsu-Siemens DVB-Card (Cable) and started last week with
installing the software for Linux. The driver compiled successful, scan
found the channels and created a channel-list. I then started xawtv,
but got no channel on the screen, nothing was found while scanning.
xawtv has no support (yet?) for tuning DVB cards. Don't know if Gerd is working on something like this.

Right now you have to use an extern application like czap to tune your card in an second console, (and czap can directly use your generated channel list after you moved it to ~/.czap/channels.conf...)

The
same with motv and vdr. After testing and experimenting some days I
found out, if starting czap with e.g. the command "czap -n 130",
stopping after a reasonable output and then starting xawtv, I can see
that channel in the application, but cannot tune to any other.
see above, you have to use czap again to tune to the next channel. But I suppose for you VDR is much more convinient to use, szap/tzap/tzap were written as tiny test programs to debug your installation.
