Please don't get me wrong, but the 2.6 kernel is only a few hours old,

RedHat 9 has problems when you try to compile external modules. So you 
either need to use an official, unpatched kernel or -- even better -- 
figure out how to compile the driver with RH9. 8-)

Of course you're welcome to try the newest kernels. But in your case 
you're probably better off with a 2.4 kernel and the stable, official 
DVB driver, no?
