Yes, it should work with *any* remote control/ir receiver if it is
supported by the driver.

No, because this would delay the release of the 0.2.0 release.

Remote 0.2.0 is already working and currently under test.
Now I have to do the hard work like tweaking some OSD messages and
updating the documentation. ;-)
I think I will release it this weekend.
