[linux-dvb] insmod problem with 1.0.1 + fglrx/v4l questions

hi,

1.: linuxtv-dvb-1.0.1 compiles fine - no errors.
make insmod makes trouble:
lsmod-> dvb-saa7146            77456   1  (initializing)
no chance to remove this module.
dmesg returns a stackstrace:
"dvb_register_adapter: registering new adapter (Siemens/Technotrend/Hauppauge
PCI rev1.3).
saa7146_core.o: saa7146: bus:1, rev:1, mem:0xe09af000.
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000024
 printing eip:
...."

i use a tt rev 1.3 @ nforce2 mainboard @kernel 2.4.20

2.: with the linuxtv-dvb-1.0.0-pre3 insmod works fine. viewing tv is possible,
but when i start xawtv or kvdr the screen becomes black (even the monitor
turns off) - after a ctrl-alt-f1 followed by a ctrl-alt-f7 i can use these
tv-apps an screen apears.
this "workaround" works with fglrx 2.9.13 drivers for my radeon9500. with the
aktual driver (fglrx-3.2.5) the screen turns blank too, but stays blank
(monitor turns themself off) even if i do a ctrl-alt-f1 followed by a
ctrl-alt-f7.
i think this has something to do with v4l ....

okay, summary:
2 questions:
1.: whats the problem with the "initializing" module? why does it hang?

2.:whats the problem with the fglrxdriver?

aditional quest ;-)
3.:why ist searching an reading in this list on the website so fucking crasy!
i can find any information there!
forgive me the third quest - i am a little tired now from endles reading in
this ml without any solutions ...

thanks,

sebastian.
