Well, it's the opposite for me: 2.6.1-mm3 is much better than any 2.4
and switching is really fast ;-)
LIRC is working out of the box (serial lirc from dxr3).
And best of all it don't have the bug I sent to linux-dvb ml
like DVB Head (inversion of the order of the column of the video on
certain channel, normal is 123...[704] or other but DVB Head is 
[700][701][702][703][704]blue line123...[699]) that bug isn't visible
when you use a TV out, but only on a PC screen (the DVB maintenair
explained me that it is fixed in the dvb-kernel and that DVB Head
belongs to the past and I agree with them...).
