I now believe that the hardware required for the above would be a Technotrend 
DVB-T 1.2 plus 3.5" Common-Interface.

Has anybody tried this combination. I notice that there have been significant 
discussions on the usability of the Technotrend 1.2 hardware, but I don't know 
if it refers to capture only or decode quality.
