This is incorrect. You currently do need a hardware MPEG2 decoder, but 
you can use a Hollywood Plus / Creative Dxr3 card in place of a 
full-featured DVB card.

The Dxr3 driver is still very alpha and does had problems, but it will 
at least get you started :)
