well .. this depends strongly on the linux DVB-s API/driver .. IMHO ..

e.g. ffwd, fbwd pushes I-Frames only to the device,
well fbwd has no pic., so the driver would not accept them (a), 
or the I-Frames are not well assembled correctly (b).

i guess (b) is the case ;-) - so it must be able to fix..

of course - thats easy to impl.

you might want to look at:
	http://jausoft.com/Files/vdr/dvdmenu/

	.. easy (dvdmenu_make.sh) dvd-v creation with
		- title menues
		- audio menues

	so you can choose your audio channel via audio menue (button 9)

and

	.. easy repack vdr -> vob
