[vdr] Idle VDR 1.3.10/11 eats a lot of CPU cycles

Hi,

I'm using VDR 1.3.10 since yesterday and 1.3.11 since a few minutes. It
is great, but one thing bothers me a bit: it eats nearly 40% CPU on my
Athlon 700, and every 5-6 seconds a second VDR thread jumps in and adds
about 30% CPU usage according to "top".

If I don't use "renice" to make these two threads nicer, everything else
seems to halt for about 2 seconds - every 5-6 seconds.

The two "offending" threads are 26995 and 26999, which also say
something in vdr.log (but not every five seconds):

Jun 19 16:58:30 elmicha vdr[26995]: assuming manual start of VDR
Jun 19 16:59:46 elmicha vdr[26999]: channel 19 (SAT.1) event 17:00 'Star Trek - Raumschiff Voyager' status 2
Jun 19 16:59:46 elmicha vdr[26999]: channel 21 (N24) event 17:00 'N24 Nachrichten' status 2

This is all when VDR is idle - no transfer mode, no nothing. With VDR
1.2.6 I had under 10% CPU usage in that situation. If I stop VDR,
everything is back to normal (and video and sound keep running).

I'm using kernel 2.6.7 with preempt, without any patches (apart from the
USB OHCI drivers which are from 2.6.6), no special DVB drivers (just the
ones from 2.6.7), and a TT 1.5 with dvb-ttpci-01.fw-261c firmware.

Regards...
		Michael
