[vdr] Re: two VDR boxes

Is there any reason why following would not work

There is no reason why this should not work.
I have exactly that setup.
The bedroom vdr does not have a hard disk at all.
See my posting
"nfsroot VDR system using SuSE 9.1 in a MSI Hetis 865GV barebone"
on this list.

All recordings would then be available for both boxes.
Correct.

Would the boxes be conflicting when handling recordings ?
Yes, if they try to write to the same directory.

What happens when both boxes are recording the same show ?
That may cause problems, see above.

I am not using my bedroom VDR for any recordings,
so that situation does not happen here.

Carsten.
