I've patched 2.6.8.1 kernel with the driver patch and also with

and have not had any non-recoverable failures since. That is lockups
of the driver or VDR that vdr/runvdr was not able to detect and restart
from. This is with 2 TwinHan DVB-T cards. These patches have been
applied for over a month now.

I tried both the first two buffer patches and they both caused more
regular but much smaller loss of data. I've delayed your third patch
waiting for 1.3.13 instead.
