lyakh: programming can be... fun. Melexis provide open source software to handle infrared data from their camera - that's really great of them! And they also filed a patent to calculate temperatures from their data on low-(CPU-)power systems, which aren't fast enough to calculate in real time
I look at their library. And at multiple locations in that library they have to calculate a power of 2. So, to do that they call pow(2, (double)param) where param is an integer parameter, and pow() of course is a standard function, taking two double precision arguments
and I bet param is smaller than 64

montjoie: I suspect mplayer, but even ffmpeg fail to capture. anyone know a good way to capture a frame to see which of kernel/userspace is faulting ?

 lyakh: montjoie: capture-example.c from v4l2-utile?
*v4l2-utils*
montjoie: it give a select timeout
lyakh: montjoie: that's a very simple program that you can check and modify yourself for whatever special conditions you have. But in general, a select timeout might mean a kernel not delivering a frame. Check dmesg output
montjoie: nothing interesting on kernel dmesg
I have switched to an old know kernel without change:(
I am very puzzled
