[08:13] <hverkuil> I think I can mark it 'not applicable' or possibly 'changes requested', right?

[09:37] <KitsuWhooa> So, I'm still trying to get dvb working on this saa7134-based card. I ended up buying one of these, and DVB on this card doesn't work either https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/TerraTec_Cinergy_HT_PCI
[09:37] <KitsuWhooa> I even went as far back as Ubuntu 8.04, and the dvb frontend still doesn't lock and gives seemingly random values on signal and snr
[09:38] <KitsuWhooa> And that wiki page claims that DVB-T should work on this card
[09:41] <KitsuWhooa> I don't remember if this was on the terratec card or the one I'm trying to add support for, but they both exhibit the same behaviour https://tasossah.com/txt/saa7134_dvb_4.4.7

[12:11] <gep> I have an usb dongle (1d19:6105) which is a video grabber based on af9035 chip. I.e. there is no tuner, AFAIU, it only takes the video stream from input and passes through af9035. Is there a way this could be handled e.g. by dvb-usb-v2/af9035.c?
[12:16] <gep> if I add it to af9035_id_table, I obviously get "tuner id=00 not supported, please report!"
[12:31] <ezequielg> hverkuil: pong
[12:32] <ezequielg> hverkuil: you can mark https://patchwork.linuxtv.org/project/linux-media/cover/20210301151754.104749-1-benjamin.gaignard@collabora.com/ as superseeded, actually.
[12:33] <ezequielg> a different approach was discussed after that.
[12:33] <hverkuil> ezequielg: done.
[12:33] <hverkuil> ezequielg: other question:
[12:34] <hverkuil> https://patchwork.linuxtv.org/project/linux-media/patch/20210628125410.9228-10-ezequiel@collabora.com/
[12:34] <hverkuil> This doesn't have an Acked-by from Rob, and it wasn't posted to the device tree ML either.
[12:37] <ezequielg> ouch, my bad.
[12:38] <ezequielg> guess i'll resend the entire series.
[12:41] <ezequielg> hverkuil: https://patchwork.linuxtv.org/project/linux-media/list/?series=5878 need some more work as well, i was hoping i could post a v2 today. just heads-up.
[12:43] <gep> This is it: https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/User:Kukulo but it concludes "connecting the device fails to load the driver.
[12:43] <gep> Investigation why it fails to load is on-going..."
[12:43] <gep> ideas, anyone?
