| sylpe | Hi there, I hope it's not a stupid question ... but I do not succeed to understand why sometimes in drivers __v4l2_ctrl_modify_range() was followed by __v4l2_ctrl_s_ctrl() but not always.
I don't understand the need of __v4l2_ctrl_s_ctrl() especially if I'm taking into account that __v4l2_ctrl_modify_range() contains a set_ctrl() call. Note that during some tests, I observed that the __v4l2_ctrl_modify_range() call was triggering _s_ctrl() with a ctrl->val == ctrl.min ... So the additionnal __v4l2_ctrl_s_ctrl() was finally helpful ^^ . BTW I don't succeed to find in code or documentation the rational behind that. | [16:01] |
