<br> They're usually easy to describe in device tree. Then userspace can switch between the inputs. libcamera raspberry pi, and simple pipeline handler would already expose both cameras. I have patches pending to support that on rkisp1 too

hverkuil: <u>pinchartl</u>: technically possible, I guess, but you need a really good use case for that since it is difficult for userspace as well to keep track of what is what.
<br> I would certainly not add support for that to the existing CREATE_BUFS ioctl. I always wanted to replace that with a much simpler ADD_BUFS ioctl (I posted an RFC for that back in February). I always thought that CREATE_BUFS is a horrible API and I would prefer to freeze it.
