comipler errors, switching of channels
Hi,
I tried to run the siemens_dvb-0.04 package on a Suse 6.4, Kernel 2.2.14
Compiler 'gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)'
1) First of all, I got some compiler errors. The compiler
of the 6.4 is more strict. All errors can be fixed easily
by adding a void or int before the function prototype.
If it has not been reported these are the lines:
apps/mpg2mpg.cc:642: ANSI C++ forbids declaration `convert' with no type
apps/gVideo/mpg2mpg.hh:34: ANSI C++ forbids declaration `mpg2mpg' with no type
apps/gVideo/mpg2mpg.cc:637: ANSI C++ forbids declaration `convert' with no type
apps/gVideo/mpg2mpg.cc:655: ANSI C++ forbids declaration `mpg2mpg' with no type
libdvb/stest.cc:5: warning: ANSI C++ forbids declaration `main' with no type
libdvb/ptest.cc:9: warning: ANSI C++ forbids declaration `main' with no type
2) I copied xtvrc.astra to ~/.xtvrc. I had to remove the comment lines at
the beginning. Otherwise my channel list was empty.
3) After 'make insmod' I fired gVideo and got a perfect picture and sound.
of the 'Premiere World promo' channel.
But this is the only channel I get. When changing the channel, I see only
a black window.
My hardware is a Hauppauge WinTV DVB-s. Sorry, I would have prefered the
Siemens/Fujitsu, but it is hard to get. I have 2 LNB's: Astra + Eutelsat.
( DiSEqC 1.0 ??? ). Switching channels works under W98.
Any ideas what's wrong ?
Cheers Uwe
