Bad performance on Linux ???

I am connected on EON with a SkyStar1 card. In windows I got greater
speeds of about 200 Kbit/s ( about 10KByte/s in download/ session )
since in Linux the better performace was about 4.5KByte/s in download.
IPtraf does not see the dvb0 interface but is showing it's speed on al
empty line in "General interface statistics" I was trying  the 0.04 and
0.03p drivers and the same result . I am using a REDHat 6.1 and 2.2.13
