hmm, you can flame me, but this is the only real advice i can give to you:

1) for the card: read the sources
2) the satellite: guess you're asking for protocols/encapsulaions

	the siemens card can delive sections

	for some further informations read: 
		ISO/IEC 13818-1
		and various ETSI documents <www.etsi.org>

	for a highlevel (marketing) overview
		<www.dvb.org>
