The VDR program version 0.6 now has

- Support for LIRC remote control.
- New user contributed tools 'xtvrc2vdr' and 'epg2timers'.
- New 'summary' feature for timers and recordings.
- Fix to work with DVB driver version 0.6.
- "Simple Video Disk Recorder Protocol" (SVDRP) to control the VDR over a network connection.
- Command line options.
- 'Daemon' mode to run as a background job.
- And many more...
