Ah ha - UK frequencies are offset by 166kHz... you'll need to set the 
value to either 554166667 or perhaps 553833333 =)

That's perfectly normal.. each DVB card only has one of the many
supported decoder chips - the 'make insmod' loads them all "just in
case" :)
