open up cheap satellite only asynchronous Internet connectivity (i.e. small uplink, hopefully reasonable downlink)
as it is need for most end-user applications. That
might finally bring cheap internet into rural areas where today’s SkyDSL solutions don’t work just because you don’t
have any terrestrial phoneline. As far as I know, the only
way to do Internet via Satellite today is through so-called VSAT-Terminals and
that service starts at prices that are unaffordable to end-users, small businesses
and also most educational entities in developing countries. It might be off-topic, but
does anyone know any links to VSAT based Internet access providers and might
