There's a 2,5mm jack plug connector immediately underneath the can.. 
It's not really clear on the picture.. It's just to the left of the two 
diodes under the TDM1316... and into it fits the IR dongle from my old 
wintv card.

Hunted more with no success yet... Friend of a freind works for 
philips... we'll see what happens.
