[linux-dvb] Problems with DVB-S 1.3

Hello there

I'm trying to get a DVB card to work under Redhat 8.0, kernel 2.4.18-14.
I've downloaded and installed libdvb-0.2.3 and the linux-dvb.2003-06-08
driver. Everything looks ok and the modules are loaded correctly but when i
execute satscan 3592.idx i just get a line of totally garbage:


Error:  õÿ¿ôÿ¿Èôÿ¿NBôÿ¿I is not a valid keyword at

3592 is for the nordic tor satellite i think,

Besides that I can't get vlc (0.5.3 Natalya) to work neither, I input the
info about the channel but absolutely nothing happens.

Am I doing something wrong or using wrong versions?
