Hmm.... I guess I could borrow the tech directors USB hard drive and do some testing, but that is pretty much what I suspected.
Still, it's not so bad - enough bandwidth for a bi-directional MPEG2 stream would be nice, but not essential. If it could support this, you could record from the tuner while watching pre-recorded material. If it can only cope with one stream at once, it's no worse than a VCR in that regard.
It's much more interesting to be able to send an MPEG2 stream back to the box for decoding.
