I'm sorry, it was actually Juergen Peitz.  I have a problem applying his
patch to the code, probably user error, but I will persevere

Nope, windows driver dies in the same 4-5 channel changes.

Seems fair enough

I will drop another line to Hauppauge.  They never wrote back to my last
email though...
