Hi! I have given IPviaSky another try today again. I want to use filiago. To make things a littlebit easier I have written me a little script (attached, maybe it is usefull for others too, its an extended version of the net_start.sh in DVB/apps/dvbnet, dvbtune and dvbnet I have copied in my path (/usr/local/sbin)) When I start it and then execute an ifconfig dvb0_0 promisc or ifconfig dvb0_0 allmulti, iptraf shows me bitrates of 2300 kbit/s up to 2800 kbit/s . For real use I switched back to normal (ifconfig dvb0_0 -promisc, -allmulti), starting the tellique proxy, dial in to filiago. A look at the log shows me that it has found the remote proxy, starting up the browser andf search a big file (or more then one) and try to download them. iptraf shows me then ingoing rates of 21kbit/s - 70 kbit/s. Thats not near any speed I would have thought I get. Are here others who have tried it ? Is something wrong with my setup ? from dvbtune: Bit error rate: 0 Signal strength: 40863 SNR: 54227 FE_STATUS: FE_HAS_SIGNAL FE_HAS_LOCK FE_HAS_CARRIER FE_HAS_VITERBI FE_HAS_SYNC Successfully opened network device, please configure the dvb interface ifconfig: dvb0_0 Protokoll:Ethernet Hardware Adresse 00:D0:5C:5B:A5:E1 inet Adresse:192.168.0.99 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Maske:255.255.255.0 UP BROADCAST RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:4096 Metric:1 RX packets:52322 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 Kollisionen:0 Sendewarteschlangenlänge:100 RX bytes:62860834 (59.9 Mb) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b) Basisadresse:0x511 As far as I have understood the MAC adress is not relevant for this setup, or is this false ? Where can I find the MAC on my siemens DVB-s rev 1.3, haven't found anything written on the card. Any help appreciated. Steffen
