- Thread-topic: Full featured DVB-T card tuner Alps TDLB7
Hi,
I have a full featured DVB-T card I obtained from Hauppauge some months
ago. I have only just got around to installing it.
I have a problem with the front end, I have seen many reports about the
front end locking up, and my initial testing with this card under the
Windows environment shows this problem on a regular basis, though I am
still able to tune much of the time.
Under Linux using the tzap program I don't seem to get appear to get any
data at all from the front end.
I have loaded the dvb-ttpci module and the alps_tdlb7 module, and this
is the output I get consistently from tzap:
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
tuning to 546000000 Hz

Can anyone give me a hint as to whats going on.
I have tried this using the 1.0.0 driver and the 1.0.1 driver. I have
also tried on kernels 2.4.2, 2.4.22 and 2.6.0test7. It is has also been
tried on two different sets of hardware, one of which I was able to run
the card in Windows with minimal trouble.
Thanks
Dave
