[linux-dvb] mplayer aspect ratio problem

I've been using mplayer 1.0pre2-3.3.2 as
"mplayer - < /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0" and it's been working OK.

However I just installed 1.0pre3-3.3.3 to get dvb:/// support and now
the aspect ratio of the video is all wrong (it's squashed horizontally).
That happens whether I use dvb:/// or redirect in the raw data as above.
It happens on multiple channels too (in Australia).

Anyone else seen this? Have a fix?
