[linux-dvb] Re: Problems loading DEC2000T modules
Hello,
Do you have a module dec2000_frontend ? A recent change in the driver available via CVS uses hotplugging to load the firmware but it looks like you are using the older driver. If you 'modprobe dec2000_frontend' , you should see the box rest (if connected to a tv) and something like the following appearing in dmesg
DVB: registering new adapter (dec2000).
drivers/usb/core/usb.c: registered new driver TechnoTrend/Hauppauge DEC USB
usb 1-2: USB disconnect, address 2
hub 1-0:1.0: new USB device on port 2, assigned address 3
DVB: registering new adapter (dec2000).
DVB: registering frontend 0:0 (TechnoTrend/Hauppauge DEC-2000-t Frontend)...
then /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 should appear.
You might like to check last months mailing list archive for more help on creating a channels.conf and getting a video stream to play.

There are some issues with using xine dvb:// using the old driver as it has a lot of video breakup. Using ts2ps and mplayer works great though. This has been fixed in the current CVS.
Hope this helps,
Stefan
