Hi, and sorry for late answer.

At least my beamer supports also RGB input from Component input jacks.
Input format is switchable from setup-menu. I think (don't know :) it
should work because both modes are using embedded sync-signals, which
is sync_on_green/luminance.

Also on hardware-wise there might be some conversion boxes, at least from
VGA -> YPbPr. But VGA is separate sync, so directly with this kind of box
you cannot do it. You need another box to separate syncs from color signals.

So MAYBE:
ffDVB/J2 -> sync_split -> VGA=>YPbPr -> Beamer

Or then try to use VGA-port of your beamer.. Beamers are more tolerate for
input signals than monitors are.
ffDVB/J2 -> sync_split -> Beamer
