The Hercules SmartTV Satellite is a TwinHan clone. 

For TwinHan, you have to specify the card number (See
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/dvb/bt8xx.txt for more details).

My card works (on 2.6.5) with this setup in modprobe.conf:

options bttv            i2c_hw=1 card=0x71
install bttv /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install bttv; /sbin/modprobe dvb-bt8xx; /sb in/modprobe dst
