Channel4 and the others on that frequency (itv1 and 2 sky news +others)
use a different multiplex (QAM64 rather than QAM16 iirc). make sure you
are set up correctly. Unfortunately for me, I cant get good signal on
this frequency/qam which I think I have narrowed down to the crappy
analogue aerial on the roof...

look for posts/web pages about the CAM. (conditional access module).
Some cards can use these and there *appears* to be limited support under
Linux too but I can say for sure not having a need for these.
