thought I knew the answer to:

Could you check that the file /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 exists? I
suspect that you will find that it is not there.

If so, you can create the devices by running the script MAKEDEV-DVB.sh
which comes with the linuxtv-dvb-1.1.1 drivers. Then your software
should be able to contact the drivers.

Your debug output shows that you also have a second problem getting your
hardware detected. I don't know anything more about that than Andreas.
