[linux-dvb] Re: Technisat Airstar 2 DVB-T with Samsung tuner
Hello again,
to exclude MythTV as the possible source of the problem I tried to use
that card with tzap now. This is the output:
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'
ERROR: failed opening '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' (No such device
or address)
Does this help to make the problem more clear?

Hi all,
I am trying to get a Technisat Airstar 2 working - with no success so
far.
My configuration:
- Fedora Core 2
- Kernel 2.6.7, latest patches from bytesex.org applied
- Latest dvb-kernel symlinked to the kernel source
I inserted this into modprobe.conf:
options mt352 force_card=2
This should be ok for the TDTC9251DH01C on my Airstar2. Without that
option dmesg does not show any feedback from mt352.
After loading dvb_core, mt352 and skystar2 the output of dmesg is like
this:
Linux video capture interface: v1.00
bttv: driver version 0.9.15 loaded
bttv: using 8 buffers with 2080k (520 pages) each for capture
drivers/media/dvb/b2c2/skystar2.c: FlexCopIIB(rev.195) chip found
drivers/media/dvb/b2c2/skystar2.c: the chip has 38 hardware filters
DVB: registering new adapter (Technisat SkyStar2 driver).
dvbfe_mt352: Setup for TDTC9251DH01C.
DVB: registering frontend 0 (DVB-T Zarlink MT352 demodulator
driver)...
This does not look to bad to me. Neithertheless when I look at MythTV
DVB card setup I get the message "could not open card #0".
I have had another DVB-T card in that machine and it worked with
MythTV, so MythTV should be ok.
Any suggestions what I could try?
Thomas
