[linux-dvb] Re: Hauppauge nova-t cx22702 - which kernel / patches?

Hi,
I've got a pair of the new hauppauge nova-t cards that I'm trying to
get setup, but having difficulty figuring out what it is I need.
I've compiled the 2.6.9-rc2-mm1 kernel with all the patches from the
linux dvb-kernel cvs 'patch-2.6' directory applied, and modprobed the
cx22702 and cx800/cx88xx modules, but when I try dvb-tune I get errors
like:
FD 8: fd_dvr DEMUX DEVICE: : No such device or address
If anyone else is trying to figure out how to get one of the new
nova-t's working, here's what I eventually got to work for me:
Get and unpack linux-2.6.9-rc2 from kernel.org
grab http://dl.bytesex.org/patches/2.6.9-rc2-2/patch-2.6.9-rc2-kraxel.gz
and apply it to your kernel
check out current linux-dvb cvs and run makelinks <dir your kernel is in>
configure kernel (make sure you include CX88 and CX22702 support)
build, install, reboot
hotplug loaded all the modules for me, I didn't need to do any manual
insmod/modprobes. Then I just did "scan
/usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-t/uk-BlackHill >
~/dvbchannels.conf", and "tzap -c ~/dvbchannels.conf -r 'ITV 2'" and was
able to view using "mplayer - < /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0.
