[linux-dvb] Re: 5 month's and still going....
OK I found the culprit:
I use this script on DVBGuide to load and configure my drivers etc....
http://pvrguide.no-ip.com/bbs/index.php?s=5e1900295c4d27f61c7cb0f2adbb84a5&showtopic=4506&st=0&#entry15477
It was the one that was trying to load 'input' and dvb_tt_pci_budget.ci'
I am not sure what purpose this script serves - but I assume it is for a
2.4x kernel.
In any case I do know I can't seem to get a front end, or anything else
to load for that matter without it.
I was able to edit it to remove the bogus entries - and also include for
good measure all of the ttpci modules listed in
/lib/modules/2.6.8.1/kernel/drivers/media/dvb/ttpci and
/lib/modules/2.6.8.1/kernel/drivers/media/dvb/ttusb-budget
So in theory I should be in better shape.
However whenever I scan my configuration file, i.e uk-Fenham I still get
the following:
# Fenham
# T freq bw fec_hi fec_lo mod transmission-mode guard-interval hierarchy
T 509833333 8MHz 1/2 NONE QAM16 2k 1/32 NONE
raid517@0[scan]$ ./scan uk-Fenham
scanning uk-Fenham
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'

raid517@0[scan]$
It seems to me it can't find a signal? I know it might be dumb to say
it, but the arial is definatly plugged in - and the card works well in
Windows.
Is there something about my transmitter settings - or maybe about this
guys script that I am still missing?
