[linux-dvb] Hauppage Nexus CA is not detecting frontend driver
Hi!
The card is not running.
It is a problem with the frontend driver.
There was a problem with 2.6.9 and the I2C driver.
Sensors gave me no output.
Patching the kernel to 2.6.10RC1 has the following result:
---sensors---
tim@goofy:~$ sensors
pcf8574-i2c-2-21
Adapter: Octal/Technotrend DVB-C for iTV
pcf8591-i2c-1-48
Adapter: SMBus I801 adapter at e800
Chan. 0: 2.55 V
Chan. 1: 2.55 V
Chan. 2: 2.55 V
Chan. 3: 2.55 V
Output: 0.00 V (enabled)
------end sensors-------
I've compiled all the drivers with 2.6.9, 2.6.10-RC1 and the CVS version of
linuxtv.org.
The result is the the same with all versions:
---dmesg----

---end dmesg----
I tried insmoding all frontends into the Kernel.
---Text in qconf----------
If you don't know what tuner module is soldered on your
DVB adapter simply enable all supported frontends, the
right one will get autodetected.
---end text qconf----------
I think czap should autodetect the right frontend:
------czap---------
goofy:/usr/src/linux# czap -c /root/ishchannels -n 4
using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'

-----end czap---
here my lsmod output:

I tried to insert only the 2 cable relevant frontends. The result is the same
like described above.
The device video0 seems to work fine.
Here a hardwarescan by xawtv:
------xawtv-----
tim@goofy:/usr/src/linux$ xawtv -hwscan
This is xawtv-3.94, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.10-rc1)
looking for available devices
port 61-61 [ -xvport 61 ]
type : Xvideo, video overlay
name : video4linux
port 62-62
type : Xvideo, image scaler
name : Matrox G-Series Backend Scaler
/dev/video0: OK [ -device /dev/video0 ]
type : v4l2

-----end xawtv---------
I really have no idea what to do now.
Can somebody help me, PLEASE.
Best regards
Tim
