[linux-dvb] DVB-C in Switzerland? / Setup-ID
Hi everyone
Since some time, in the TV cable networks in Switzerland we have DVB-C (called
Swissfun). On their web-page www.swissfun.org (only in german, french or
italian) they write that Swissfun can only be received with two specified
receivers. There is no PC card listed. The Info Hotline also says that it is
possible to use only those two receivers. However I suppose that the "normal"
DVB-C cards like that of Fujitsu-Siemens could also work. Before buying it, I
would prefer to be sure of that.
Can someone confirm that the Fujitsu-Siemens DVB-C card works in Switzerland?
Furthermore, the "Swissfun" receivers get fed with a code called Setup-ID. With
this number, the receivers get enabled to load the list of frequences etc. from
the net. Is it possible to have the DVB-C-Cards search for signals? Or do they
also work with a Setup-ID?
Thank you
Aurelio Caliaro
