[vdr] xawtv and vdr

Hi,

since I don't own a TV, I like to use my Monitor as Viewer. So I use xawtv
as a viewer.
But there's the problem, that I have to start xawtv first, then vdr. I'd
like to do this in reverse order, but then xawtv can't open
/dev/video0 which is already opened by vdr.
So my Question: Is there a switch, so that vdr doesn't open /dev/video0
anymore ?

By the way : Does anybody know a better viewer for vdr (perhaps with Xv
Extension support) ?
