Hi,
sometimes after switching a channel VDR dies quietly on my
machine (maybe 1 out of 100). There are no usefull log entries:
Oct 4 18:38:48 video vdr[25647]: switching to channel 6
Oct 4 18:39:38 video vdr[25647]: switching to channel 7
Oct 4 18:41:18 video vdr[25647]: switching to channel 8
Oct 4 18:41:21 video vdr[25647]: switching to channel 9
Oct 4 18:41:22 video PAM-unix2[25646]: session finished for user vdr, service su
Oct 4 18:41:22 video lircd-0.6.3[193]: removed client
Oct 4 18:41:22 video runVDR: restarting VDR
The PAM-unix2 line is because I'm starting VDR with su from
runvdr.
The crash is immidiately after the switch. The channel info has
not completely been displayed at the time. I suspect a
segmentaition fault somewhere in the epg scanner / display.
Problem 1: I'm not familiar in examing crashs/coredumps. How is
this done? With gdb?
Problem 2: There is no coredump...
TIA
