It will find (if all works well) all channels on all satellites. The method
of 'dtv_scan' is as follows:

1) It (or better the included perl-script 'get_digital_transponders.pl')
will get a complete list of all transponders from www.lyngsat.com.
2) All these transponders are scanned with PAT/PMT/SDT lookup. This should
(according to the standard) deliver all available channels on these
transponders. NOT all PIDS !!! For programs that are currently not on-air,
or dynamically allocated Pids (like PW Cinedom), it only finds the Service
PID. But this is enough (at least for 'dtv') to find the audio/video Pids
when actually switching to the channel.

So, if all available transponders are correctly specified by www.lyngsat.com
(which is usually true), 'dtv_scan' can find all channels. The problem with
'real' frequency scanning (like most commercial receivers do, as they do not
have the possibility to get an updated transponders list from the internet)
is, that there are a lot of possibilities to combine frequency, polarisation
and symbolrate. They cannot try all these combinations in an acceptable
amount of time.

Rolf
