Remove /lib/modules/2.4.4-4GB/dvb/

Install the latest modules once again.
(You will get $/misc/ again)
(Make sure to have only one version of each module present!) 

Make depmod -a
( Make sure $/misc is in the search path of depmod.)

Read the manpages related to the kernel modules:
man depmod
man modprobe
...
