[vdr] VDR and DVD Question

hi ,
I have a problem with th DVD playback in vdr 0.96. Everything else works
fine but when I play a DVD I get no sound. the picture is fine. Is there no
DVD sound playback throu the Scart connector. When I playback recorded files
from the TV I get sound on the TV. Do I need a soundcard to play DVD's? If
yes what
else do i have to install?
