When applying this patch to a vdr 0.98 there are some files 
missing:
mp3.c  mp3.changes  mp3.h  mp3-menu.c 
mp3sources.conf.example

and

fontsym.c  fontsym.h

Just copy them from 
http://www.muempf.de/down/vdr-0.97-mp3-0.22.tar.gz

and everything compiles fine
