Another idea would be to buy a MPEG1/2 Encoder-CARD then you don´t need a big Processor and Audio+Video is absolutely sync.

This cards are not realy cheap - but i have heared that in asia MPEG1 card´s are realy cheap (400 DM) i also want to buy one for my CAR-MPEG-Player..... but i don´t have found one wich can be used unter WIN2k or LINUX
