sounds great to me :)
the only little changes that could be done would be : Manual Bitrate Setting 
/ Multi Audio PID Support (would just encode two audio instead of one with 
the same synch delay)
I'm not sure that Bivx (Divx with two audio) is supported in mplayer but it 
would be nice for win users.

I hope i've not missed those features in your quick doc :)
