[vdr] Re: Divx with 2 computers

Hi,

thats a good idea to use a second computer for decoding/encoding. But i
donīt understand why my 800mhz-celeron is so slow. Even with -framedrop it
has 90+% cpu-usage while playing divx through vdr.

What cpu is needed to do this in realtime and without framedrops?

I think another solution could be to use a hardware mpeg2 encoder like the
winTV-PVR uses. (divx-playback through tv-out -> hardware encoder ->
mplayer)
