[vdr] Help DVB-t Tuning Problem

Hi

I am not able to tune my Nova DVB-t card, I recieve the following errors in
/var/log/syslog

ERROR: Channel # not sync'ed on DVB card #
retrying
ERROR: Timeout while tuning

In /var/log/messages

switching to channel #
output thread ended (pid=457)
input thread ended (pid=458)
buffer stats: 0 (0%) used
output thread started (pid=461)
input thread started (pid=462)

The OSD works, MP3 works (cool patch), DVD playback works - I just can't get
a TV picture ;-( BTW the DVB-t card works under windows, I'm using the UK
channels.conf (in live in London) which matches the output from the windows
driver.

I'm running slackware 8, tried using /not using devfs I have one DVB-s card
and one Nova DVB-t card

Any ideas whats wrong ?

Should  try a different distro ? (ie Redhat, Suse ??)
