I've just reviewed the mails from you regarding this issue and there are two 
things:

1. setting DVDCSS_VERBOSE=2 should generate a lot of debug output like 
   'libdvdcss debug: xxx', so far i haven't seen any mail from you with that 
   output
2. your reported seeing messages like: 'demux: dvdreadblocks returned 0', that 
   indicates problems reading or decrypting data from the dvd, does this
   happen also with xine, mplayer or the test application (play_title) 
   included in libdvdread?
